Preschool News:
Summer is almost over! Preschool classes will be starting soon. Our "Get
Acquainted Tea" will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 9:15am for
the 4-year old program. The orientation session for the 3-year old
program will be held the same day at 9:15am for the 2-day program and
10:00am for the 3-day program. Letters have gone out to all children
registered for our fall classes. We are very happy that Miss Carol
Lounsberry, our Music Teacher, will be with us again this year. We are
looking forward to a fun-filled year with the children. The first month
of school the children will be establishing classroom routines. Our
learning themes for September are "Back to School", "Good Manners",
"Colors and Fun with Shapes" and "Johnny Appleseed." Chapel is scheduled
for Wednesday, September 24th at 11:30 and will be held monthly on the
fourth Wednesday of each month. All parents are welcome to join us in
church. There are still openings in our fall season in the 3-year old
program. All classes are held in the morning. Please call the church
office (589-3202) for an application and information.
The Goals of the Preschool are:
~ To develop in each child an active curiosity about the world in which he or
she lives and an enthusiasm for learning based on personal satisfaction and
involvement.
~ To provide each child with opportunities to develop basic learning skills
and to acquire new information and knowledge.
~ To allow each child to be expressive and creative through the use of
language, art, music, free play, and physical activity.
~ To help each child establish satisfying and successful social relationships
with other children and the preschool teachers.
~ To develop in each child a healthy self-image and a spiritual awareness of
God's love through Bible stories, songs, and a loving, caring environment.
The Following Early Childhood Programs are offered:
Three Year Old Program
- For children who are "fully toilet trained" and are at least 2 years, 8 months
of age as of their first day of school.
Children may enter the program at any
time during the year.
3 Day Program - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 - 11:30 am $180/month
2 Day Program (Morning Only) - $135/month
Four Year Old Program
- For children who are at least 3 years, 8 months or older as of the first day
of school
and are interested in attending school five days a week.
Monday through Friday Session: 9:00 - 11:45 - $230/month
Pre-Kindergarten Program - For children who have already attended 4 year preschool but are not "ready" or missed the age deadline for Kindergarten.
All of the Preschool programs run from September through June are coincide
with the Sayville Public School District calendar.
There is a $30 Non-refundable Registration Fee.
The second child in our program (at the same time) receives a 15% discount.
