The mission of Saint John's Lutheran Preschool is to provide a caring and loving environment where preschool children develop socially and academically as they are nurtured in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  

Preschool News:.

Time is just flying by! It's hard to believe it's May already, and we have begun to practice for our Graduation Program. We are continuing to work with letter and number recognition in the classroom. During this month, the children will be hosting a Mother's Day Tea for their mothers. We will be baking a special snack for them. We are also going to have an inside Spring Picnic.

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences went very well. We thank the parents for their interest and input at the conferences. Their input is very important to us as we continually strive to provide Christian Education for our children.

We have openings in some of our 3 and 4-year old fall classes. Stop by the church office for an application, or feel free to call the preschool teachers at 563-1443. They would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

The Goals of the Preschool are:
~ To develop in each child an active curiosity about the world in which he or she lives and an enthusiasm for learning based on personal satisfaction and involvement.
~ To provide each child with opportunities to develop basic learning skills and to acquire new information and knowledge.
~ To allow each child to be expressive and creative through the use of language, art, music, free play, and physical activity.
~ To help each child establish satisfying and successful social relationships with other children and the preschool teachers.
~ To develop in each child a healthy self-image and a spiritual awareness of God's love through Bible stories, songs, and a loving, caring environment.

The Following Early Childhood Programs are offered:
 Three Year Old Program - For children who are  at least 2 years, 8 months of age as of their first day of school.
Children may enter the program at any time during the year.
 3 Day Program - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 - 11:30 am $215/month
 2 Day Program (Morning Only) - $155/month

Four Year Old Program - For children who are at least 3 years, 8 months or older as of the first day of school
and are interested in attending school five days a week.
 Monday through Friday Session: 9:00 - 11:45 - $275/month

Pre-Kindergarten Program - For children who have already attended 4 year preschool but are not "ready" or missed the age deadline for Kindergarten, $275/month

All of the Preschool programs run from September through June are coincide with the Sayville Public School District calendar.
There is a $30 Non-refundable Registration Fee.
The second child in our program (at the same time) receives a 15% discount.
